Julia Grecos, Director of the Conservatorio Superior de Danza de Valencia, is a dancer, choreographer and teacher with a career that includes works and collaborations in various areas of Spanish dance. Some of these include the company of Rafael Aguilar, and the production Duende by Lindsay Kemp. She choreographed and danced zarzuelas (Spanish operettas) for six seasons for Los Veranos de la Villa in Madrid. With her own company, Ballet Español Julia Grecos, she has created the following complete works, Emociones Flamencas (nominated for the Teatres awards), Luna… Luna Flamenca (first Flamenco work represented in the Cathedral of Exeter in England), and Ecos del Alma, currently on tour, which represented Spain in August 2011 at the II International Dance Festival of Xinjiang, China and shortly after the I Eurasia Expo, also in China.  In 2008 she was awarded the Pedro del Río prize, by Teatres de la Generalitat Valenciana in recognition of her career in Spanish dance.
