Geraldine Rosteius

Geraldine Rosteius was born 1992 in Niteroi, Brazil, and has grown up in Germany.

At the age of five she started to take classes in classical ballet. Since 2006 she attended „Ballettschule International Bonn“ in order to get a more extensive and more professional education beside the classical ballet in the subjects modern dance, character dance and jazz dance. During this time (2008-2010) Geraldine took part in several national and international competitions („Regionaler Ballettwettbewerb“ in Bonn/Eitorf, „Deutscher Ballettwettbewerb“ Fürstenfeldbruck/Munich, „dance World cup“ Jersey (UK) / Sardinia (Italy)) and achieved several prices. In 2009 she participated in an exchange with a dance school in Ostrow Wielkopolski, Poland. In 2010 she finished secondary school with Intermediate High School Diploma. By proof of her special artistic talent she got the chance to study at the University for Music and Dance Cologne / Centre for Contemporary Dance since October 2010. During the study she was member in several projects: „Der Dorn“ with Stefan Dreher (2010), „Sonne kochen“ with Stephanie Thiersch & Viviana Escalé (2011) and recently a site specific dance performance by Douglas Bateman.
