Jennifer Ruof

Jennifer Ruof was born 1992 in Augsburg, Germany. At the age of thirteen she changed from the rhythmic gymnastics to classical ballet. Since 2005 she danced at the “Ballettakademie Payer” in Augsburg, where she took classes in ballet and pointwork. At the age of fifteen Jennifer attended “Ballettförderzentrum Nürnberg” in order to get a professional education. She took class in ballet, modern dance, jazz dance, pointwork and character dance. In 2009 Jennifer took part in the competition “Kunstförderpreis Augsburg” and won the second price. One year later – in October 2010 – she started her study at the University for Music and Dance Cologne / Centre for Contemporary Dance. During the study she was involved in choreographies by Stefan Dreher , Stephanie Thiersch & Viviana Escalé and recently in a site-specific dance performance with Douglas Bateman.
